People representing efforts to increase density in Marin argue that we lack the housing they think we need.
Speaking for the people of Marin, they think they know better. But the effect of efforts by CALM — Coalition for a Livable Marin — and groups like it, are not to build the housing choices they espouse, but rather to weaken environmental protections for wildlife and our quality of life.
The idea CALM’s David Kunhardt sets forth is that elected officials and voters are preventing needed housing from being built. Nothing could be further from the truth.
